Recent purchases....

I said in a previous post that I would review the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfecter "Opal" when it came in and its here!!! Along with some other makeup goodies I recently got. I included two palettes from Too Faced and three shades from the Nars Audacious Collection. Ok let's just dive in. First impression of the Becca highlighter is HOLY PIGMENT. Its definitely more pigmented then any other highlighter I own. I have wore it a couple of times already and I do like it, pleasantly surprised at how great this product is. I would definitely recommend it, it is available for purchase and is not limited edition. On to the Nars lipsticks. I am in love with these! They're a tad pricy but let's be honest I would pay any amount for makeup lol. The packaging is very chic, and its actually magnetic. Pigment is amazing, comes on with one swipe. The finish is sort of like Mac's Satin lipstick. There is a wide variety of colors, but I didn't want to purchase too many without testing a few first. Now that I've tried them I will definitely be getting more colors. Last but not least, Too Faced palettes. I looooove their packaging, they always have the cutest concepts. Also been using these for the past week and I love them. Only thing I wish they had was a matte crease/transition color. Other then that THUMBS UP!

Personally its my favorite accessories besides actual "accessories". It can dress up any outfit, from pants with a dressy shirt to jeans and a tee shirt. I wear blazers with pretty much everything, casual/dressy, flats/heels. It spices up all my outfits and looks so chic. I have blazers from Topshop, Zara, H&M, Forever21, Bebe. Topshop and Zara are generally my go to shopping stores, but especially for blazers. They're great quality and last really long. I especially love blazers with big shoulder pads!!!! The bigger the better! Always been my motto. How do you guys feel about blazers? Yay or nay?

Shine bright like a disco ball!! Highlighter GALORE

Where do I begin? Most of you know I am obsessedddddddddddd with highlighters!!! Its my favorite makeup product to use. I actually collect them. Nothing I enjoy more then glowing, it gives such light to the face and brings out your features. I was never a fan of matte looks. Even when it was "in" a couple of years ago, I always wore highlighters. Bring on the DEWWWW hunnyyyy.  I'm also expecting another highlighter that was recommended by a friend but its not listed in the photos. Its the Becca shimmering skin powder highlighter in "Opal". Will do an updated review on it when it arrives. Ok back to the ones listed. One of my first favorite highlighters is Mac "Whisper of Gilt". Its a bright golden shade. I used to wear it alllllll the time, before I discovered Estee Lauder "Heat Wave". "Heat Wave" is like "Whisper of Gilt" on crack. They're almost identical in color, but "Heat Wave" is more pigmented. I've had the Mary Lou Manizer for a while and never used it, somehow I ended up losing then seen it on a friend and repurchased it. Its a gorgeous highlight and it adds a champagne golden glow.  If you like pink or peachy tones, Mac "Superb", and "Lightscepade" are great options. If you prefer more of a silvery highlight then Mac "Soft and Gentle" would be essential. My newest discovery is the Diorskin Nude Tan Transat Edition. It might even be more pigmented then Estee Lauder's "Heat Wave", which is SHOCKING. I didn't even think that was possible considering "Heat Wave" is incredibly pigmented, but the Dior one might be my new favorite. The only bad news is its limited, I know I know I am always wearing products that are discontinued but unfortunately those are the best ones. The Dior highlighter was part of their Summer collection. I do also like the Charlotte Tilbury Scult and Highlight compact, the sculpt shade isn't dark enough for me but the highlight is beautiful. Its not as strong as the others but still offers a really soft golden glow.

Gerard Cosmetics Review

So first impression of these lippies is the packaging!!! Its everythingggggggg!!! As some of you may know I am a gold fanaticccc!! The packaging looks so luxurious, I'm in love. There is a wide range of colors as you can see in the photos. Gorgeous pinks, sexy nudes, spicy reds and some in between colors. As far as coverage goes, it's the right amount of pigment. They can be worn with or without lipstick. Personally I would apply them over a lipstick because I like the intensity. They don't feel sticky like most glosses do. They come with a mirror on the outside, which is super convenient for someone who doesn't carry a mirror in their bag. When you unwind the top there is little flash lights to help you see while applying the product. They're not only pretty to look at it, but they're super convenient to use. With the addition of the flash lights and mirror your application will be much easier. Now lets jump into lipsticks. I almost don't even want to use them because they're so beautiful, like I said the packaging completely won me over. If I had to describe the finish its kind of like Mac's Satin/Matte. What's good about them is they dry matte but still have moisture, so they won't leave your lips feeling cakey. They're super pigmented and the color selection is gorgeous. As far as the price goes, Lipgloss $24 and Lipstick $19. Will list swatches down below :)

Get to know me......

Well where do I begin? Most of you know me as Amrezy on Instagram but my real name is Amra. Amrezy was actually a nickname I got in high school and thought it would be the perfect username for Instagram, who knew it would sound so catchy lol. Lets start with childhood and move on up. I was born in Montenegro (Former Yugoslavia), came here when I was nine years old. I lived in Bosnia and Croatia for a couple of months before moving to the US. I mostly lived in New York majority of my life. I've lived in Brooklyn, Manhattan and the Bronx. I moved around a lot, and I liked the constant change. Got to meet so many people because of all the different schools I attended. I graduated high school in 2006, tried college out for a couple of semesters and absolutely hated it. I never had an interest for school, would spend most of my time sleeping on the desk lol. As I stated in a previous post I went to Make Up Designory beauty school shortly after graduating high school. I didn't learn much and it was a total waste of time, good thing I didn't depend on school to teach me things. I ended up learning everything through life experience. Ive always been self efficient, didn't wait around for anyone to hand me favors. If I wanted something I would go for it, nothing stopped me. One of my strongest characteristics has been being persistent, I would break through walls if I had to. I always loved pushing limits, I guess I'm a daredevil in some kind of way. If everyone else was going right I would go left, thats just in my nature. I was raised by strict parents. They provided me everything but were super tough on me most of the time. I couldn't always see eye to eye with them when I was younger so I moved out when I was 23. Best decision I've made so far. It taught me responsibility, courage and perseverance. I went through some really hard times, at certain points I didn't even have money to eat. Lived with my boyfriend and both of us struggled together. Sometimes I look back and think how did we even make it? Through each others support we were able to learn from our mistakes and apply to our future endeavors. I especially grew a lot through the struggle, it changed me as a person. Not only did it make me humble but it taught me to appreciate every moment, and I knew I never wanted to relive the bad times ever again. Now I appreciate the smallest things, being able to pay bills and not go broke. I am truly grateful to be in the position I am today, I'm not rich but I am comfortable and that's all I can ask for. If more comes then great but if it doesn't I am happy knowing I am in a better place then where I was a couple of years ago. Money isn't everything, yes it does pay the bills and supply a certain lifestyle, but some of the richest people are more miserable then you can imagine. There is so much more I want to write but it be would never ending lol, so I will finish off by saying you never really know where you will end up. If you have a dream go for it, other peoples opinions shouldn't matter. Life is so much better when you follow your own instincts.

Nude Attitude

So don't we all love a nude lipsticks???? I know I do! They're perfect for everyday, with any outfit or makeup look. There is many different shades of nude, it can either be a more light pink nude or warm peachy nude. Now it at all depends on preference and your skin tone. On more fair skin types I feel that light pink nude suits best, but for olive tones I suggest peachy nude. Now this is only my suggestion and doesn't mean you have to live by it. I personally always end up wearing peachy beige tones because my skin tone is on the olive side. I typically pair a nude lip with a smokey eye, they're like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich lol. I usually prefer a matte finish for lipsticks but depending on the look I might top it off with gloss. I also can't forget about my go to lip liner Mac "Stripdown" pencil. This is my all time favoriteeeeeee lip liner, it goes with every nude shade
I wear. As I'm sure some of you have noticed I over line my lips to add a fuller effect, again this is MY preference and its not for everyone. I will include some of my favorite nude shades down below. Let me know your thoughts and what your favorites are :)
