Dewy Secrets...
So this is probably one of my most asked questions on Instagram. How I get glowing dewy skin? I also included the concealer I use because I also get a lot of questions on it. First and foremost the most important factor of this routine is Mac Fix +. It basically gives your skin not only moisture but it emphasizes the highlight to another level. Essentially its designed to have powder sink into your skin and make it appear very natural and non-cakey. Now before adding all these products its recommended to use your daily moisturizer. To get extra moisture I apply Fix + after my moisturizer. I then go ahead and apply my Armani Luminous Silk foundation (shade #8) and yes this foundation is AMAZING! As seen in the picture for concealer I use Makeup Forever Full Cover (shade#3). It's the most flawless coverage and it dries matte. For my highlight I use my absolute favorite product of all time, Est ér Lauder "Heat Wave". I use this every time I do my makeup, its definetely a staple product. The brush I use to apply the highlighter is shown in the picture below, Morphe M310. It picks up just enough product and truly gives a flawless application. After all these steps are completed I spray my face once again with Mac Fix +, after about 30 minutes my skin starts to look wet. Now I don't recommend this for everyone, if you have oily skin you probably won't be ecstatic with the outcome considering you will end up looking greasy. I on the other hand have very dry skin, therefore I prefer this look over matte any day. I hope I was helpful with this review, let me know your thoughts :)
Ooohhhh. I know what all im buying tomrw. Well minus the HeatWave. I know its sold out eeverywhere! Thanks girl. I have dry skin so im Excited to get the dewy finish your always rockin! ;)

ReplyDeleteHea, I've been seeing everyone using the fix+ but I don't get the purpose of it??
ReplyDeleteYou have no idea how nice it is to finally a makeup artist with dry skin.
I check your instagram religiously I'm seriously in love with you. You are beyond gorgeous and your makeup is always done to perfection.
Will the amrezy pallete be available full time on Anastasia's website my birthday is next month and I've been dropping hints to my mom left, right and center.
This is so exciting. I have combination skin but I'm willing to give this a try ! Your glow is literally out of this world. So do you recommend any primers? Or do you think they're just gimmicks?
ReplyDeleteI actually never use facial primers they clog my pores
DeleteHeat Wave is discontinued, do you know of an alternative?
ReplyDeleteMac 'Soft and Gentle" is a nice highlight but its not golden, its more of a silver champagne glow.
DeleteYou can find it in a CCO near you @ least that's where I got mines or nyx has some pretty illuminators even I was surprised at how beautiful they show up on the skin I even use it more than my heat wave
ReplyDeleteLove your routine! I'm gonna get some of those products! :)
ReplyDeleteYay! I love that you include your shade colors :) I keep moving to dry climates (Canada and now Chicago) so I'm always looking for ways to incorporate some moisture into my routine. Also, I was wondering if you use any eye cream under your concealer? I'm turning 27 and people are continually telling me to start using it... Anyways, so happy you started a blog. Congrats <3
ReplyDeleteNo and I should be using one but I'm so lazy when it comes to routines

ReplyDeleteDo you know where can I buy Heat Wave?!
ReplyDeleteAmazon
DeleteYessss! I need one of these!
DeleteThanks for sharing <3
ReplyDeleteDaniela, Portugal.
Buying these today! I have always wondered where you get such amazing highlight!! I have really dark circles under my eyes and many people have told me to use a yellow concealer which I have but it still doesnt fully cover everything...should i mix this concealer with something else?
ReplyDeleteTry the one I use, which is shown in the picture up top. Its such great coverage and I highly believe you won't have issues covering your dark circles, its that good
DeleteYou are absolutely gorgeous!!!!! I am so excited for your blog! I definetly will give this a try since I do have combination skin and live in FL which is always humid. Unless you recommend something else for this kind of weather? I have 3 kids so im always on the go but I Always find a way to glam up with some makeup. And since im in a budget as well i only use CG. Im definetly going to invest in ome nice durable makeup. Thank you so much for sharing and keep up with what your doing!!! Love it!!! And love u!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! Excited having this blog so I can finally talk about things that I haven't got a chance to discuss on Instagram :)
DeleteSuper happy you posted this. It is always good to get acquainted with different routines if you are still searching. By the way, what camera do you use for all your MOTD photos. They all are flawless.
ReplyDeleteI use Sony Nex 6
DeleteWhat kind of brushes do you use for this process other than the morphe M310?
ReplyDeleteI will post brushes I use for my foundation and concealer routine
DeleteOmg I rememeber you from when I used to work in macys I always wanted to ask you about ur make up routine, thank you for sharing I was having mixed thoughts about the fix+ but now I think I need it! & for people trying to find an alternative to heat wave, you have to find a nigh lighter that works for your complexion, I use a good quality baked marbled bronzer paired with radiance enhancer from e.l.f cosmetics (3$) & it looks very nice on. I apply this before the bronzer.
ReplyDeleteI haven't found a highlighter that comes even close to the pigment "Heat Wave" has to offer makes me sad lol
DeleteWell let us know what you will be using once yours finishes lol
DeleteThis is extremely helpful, thank you. I am trying to introduce a cream foundation into my routine, I typically wear powder and for some reason I cannot get it to look like it's my skin as opposed to a layer of makeup on top of my skin.
ReplyDeleteYeah powder is the devil haha the only powder I consider using is highlighter and blush. Hate the way it looks on the skin
DeleteThis is so very helpful! Literally i bought fix + but idk what to use. I will follow this step because I also have dry skin. Thank you
ReplyDeleteGlad I can help :))
DeleteI really need to try that MAC fix+
ReplyDeleteLove it thank you!
ReplyDeleteWahh' I have dry skin also girl, I know the struggle , but have you tried the "Glam Glow Hydrating Mask" , its a musttttttttt! Best product ive ever used for my dryness!! Ahh I wish I can buy heat wave, sold out I use Becca's Opal highlighter, eh it does the job lol xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteAnd I know you may not like powder, I have dry skin like I said and it doesnt really work for us but you should try Makeupforever duo mat powder, with just a moisturizer and primer, you will remember me lol it works like a foundation, super smooth and matte.

ReplyDeleteSo glad you're taking this chance with blogging, I have been waiting! I have been following you via IG since your mac days! And I have been obsessed ever since! I love how your foundation looks so flawless; so I wanted to know do you solely use the beauty blender to apply your foundation and your concealer? I also wanted to know how you apply your contour & blush?!
I would love to see how you actually apply Heat Wave. I love it, but I look like a straight up lightbulb when I try to use it. Would love to see a simple vid on IG with this demonstration. Love the blog!

ReplyDeleteHii I was wondering if there is a store where to buy this foundation othen then online?
ReplyDeleteAmrezy, since you prefer dewy over matte? What finished product would you recommend using instead of powder? I have combination skin, so if I use MAC+ I dont want to look too oily. Btw, so excited and proud that you have started a blog.. great way to interact with your fans! :D
